Hard Drive Cable

£3.95£4.95

This flex cable connects the hard drive to the iPod’s logic board. A damaged cable can be the cause of “Red cross” or “sad iPod” issues in cases where the hard drive is otherwise working correctly.

There are two different versions of the hard drive cable available so it is important you order the correct version. The most common version is the ZIF hard drive cable, this is used in all models of the iPod Video (30GB, 60GB & 80GB). It is also used in the 80GB, 120GB and 7th generation 160GB versions of the iPod Classic. The 6th generation 160GB iPod Classic (Toshiba MK1626GCB/Samsung HS161JQ) uses the CE-ATA version of the HDD cable.
