Most 30GB iPod Videos used a Toshiba MK3008GAL hard drive. Less commonly used were the Samsung HS030GA/HS030GB and Hitachi HTC426030G5CE00. All drives have the same specification, single platter (5mm) 1.8″ ZIF, they can all replace each other.

Testing

Every one of our hard drives goes through extensive testing prior to sale. Each drive is formatted, then both read and write tests are conducted on every sector. There are no bad or pending sectors on our new or refurbished hard drives.
