The loudspeaker is situated at the bottom of the iPod and is responsible for playing music and sounds out loud when headphones are not connected.

If the iPod is not playing any sounds or the audio is crackly/distorted then replacing this component.

Replacing the loudspeaker requires soldering the two wires to the logic board.
