The top power button and both side volume buttons are controlled by the same flex cable in the 4th generation iPod Touch. The home button is not connected to this part and uses its own cable, here.

If all or any of your buttons are unresponsive, hard to press or even stuck you must replace this cable to fix your problem.

All variations of the 4th gen touch use this same flex, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB & 64GB.

The cable does require soldering to the iPod’s logic board so we do advise professional installation, contact us for more information.
