The screen lens is the clear piece of plastic that fits in the front housing, in front of the LCD panel. It can be easily scratched so is often replaced for cosmetic reasons.

The screen glass comes with a double sided adhesive already attached to make installation easy. Simply push the old one out, then press the replacement into place ensuring you remove the external protector for a nice clear view again.
