SSD Upgrade Installation Service
£69.95 – £249.95
An SSD upgrade is a great way to replace your old or failing HDD. Replacing your old mechanical hard drive with a with a solid state flash drive which has no moving parts, makes your iPod more reliable and robust long term. We only use high quality dedicated drives as we find these more reliable than SD card based solutions.
Common signs that your existing hard drive is failing are; longer times to load songs or start up, tracks skipping, iTunes messages saying the iPod is corrupt or asking to restore, louder noises such as clicking/whining, SMART errors. Often the signs that the surface are degrading can be hidden before it’s too late.
We offer a range of sizes depending on your model. We can repair your iPod and install a brand new solid state drive for the iPod Classic or Video. The repair covers all models of the A1238; 80GB, 120GB & 160GB (6th and 7th generation) or the A1136 30GB, 60GB & 80GB (5th generation). It’s important to note the 6th generation Classic 80/120/160 can only handle 128GB, only the 7th generation (Late 2009 onwards) is uncapped.
