The bottom dock connector can get damaged and suffer wear & tear over time as cables get connected and removed. Often individual pins will bend or break, sometimes there will be physical damage to the connector or corrosion from liquids. Any of the above can cause issues with charging or connecting via USB. We can dismantle your device, remove the old 30 pin port and install a new one before reassembling.
We can repair your iPod and install a new 30 pin dock connector to the iPod Classic or Video logic board. The repair covers all models of the A1238; 80GB, 120GB & 160GB (6th and 7th generation) or the A1136 30GB, 60GB & 80GB (5th generation).
If you don’t need our service and want to repair your own device, you can purchase the replacement part here.
The price is the total cost including the part, installation, return postage and warranty. All you need to do is send your device to us and we’ll get it installed, tested and returned to you.
